Angel David Betancourt

I am a defense attorney, located in Richland, Washington. I grew up in Yakima, Washington. After a short stint at Central Washington University and Spokane Falls Community College, I joined the United States Air Force in 2005. While in the USAF I was a TACP (Tactical Air Control Specialist). As a TACP I worked on a two-man team working with the 82nd airborne, directing close air support firepower toward enemy targets.

My training includes Army Airborne School where I basically fell out of airplanes. It also includes USAF Survival during the winter. There I learned that if I leave my uniform out when it is really cold, it will freeze. (That made for a terrible morning.) I deployed for almost a year in 2007 to Samarra, Iraq. Notable awards include two Army Commendation medals, one Air Force Commendation Medal, and the Air Force Combat Action Medal.
